39 weeks

AAnd a happy holiday!! Well it wasn't really all that happy since Cadence wasn't feeling well... She has been sick since last Thursday, but on day 8 she is finally herself .... except for the coughing and runny nose... but I'll take that over her moping around all day! Needless to say she wasn't into opening gifts on Christmas morning... She made out very nicely, Santa brought her a play kitchen, and table and chairs. Mom-mom brought her a bike, she got clothes and a bilingual laptop from abuelo's. We had a very nice Christmas breakfast with my dad and his fiance my mom and younger sister, and my older sister, her son and bf...

I had my 39 week checkup yesterday and Im 2-3 cm dilated and 60% effaced!! Dr. said I could go any day so we shall see... hopefully its days not weeks!! I have been trying to organize Cadence's closet to make room for nb diapers and have been trying to get the toy room more organizes since that's where the new baby's clothes will be going... tough task considering she has SOOOO many toys in there now. We may really have to consider putting up sheet rock and insulate the basement to make that the playroom... since theres no chance of us being able to afford a new house at this time of our lives... Well hopefully the next post I make will be about how the baby is here and how he/she is healthy!!

38 weeks

Whaaaat?!?! 2 weeks left?!?! Are you kidding?!?! I had my check up yesterday and I'm measuring exactly 38 weeks, which is a relief considering I feel much huger than that... Baby's heartbeat is nice and strong and she gave me an exam AND............... I'm 1-2 cm dilated and about 50% effaced!! Hopefully it doesn't slow up down there though... Camilo seems to think that we're having this baby on Tuesday but its up to the little one so we shall see...
Cadence has been sick with a fever the past couple of days so we've all been just trying to relax with her and try to catch up on sleeping and being lazy. I'm nesting and cant sit still though and Camilo just doesn't understand that... he keeps telling me to relax and I keep telling him that if it doesn't get done then we wont be ready for this baby, I think he semi understands but he's a man so I'm sure he doesn't really get it... I've been doing laundry and trying to clean up Cadence's room but then I think 'what else can I do?' 'what else is there to do?' We still have to go get a car seat, figure out where the new baby's clothes will go, & I still have to pack my bag... an besides my bag packing the other 2 cost money which I dont feel like spending or going out to buy it with everyone doing last minute holiday shopping...

Catching up

WOW!! I havent posted in a few weeks so I have much to catch up on. We went to a holiday parade in my old town one weekend which was a lot of fun but of course pretty cold.As you can see Cadence was very bundled... but was funny because her and my nephew were like the scene from "Christmas Story" when the little boy is so bundled up that he falls down while walking to school and cant get up.... That was them... they were unbalanced and if they leaned one way or another, they'd tumble over... it was wuite funny. After the parade we actually had a birthday party to go to. It was at a party place where the girls that work there entertain the kids and you could sit back and relax (which of course I couldnt do because I wanted to see her having fun) Then we went back to my cousins house where they had pony rides. Cadence went on ok... but you could tell she was scared. Hmmmm what else... Oh we went to my sisters work to have breakfast with santa... and let me just say she was not feeling it. She'd much rather look at him from a far or at pictures. But my mom bought the kids bibs...

Now to catch up on this baby I have crawling around inside of me.... I will actually be 37 weeks tomorrow but at my last appointment I lost 2.5 lbs. and she said everything is looking great! I actually have an appointment today at 1230 in whic I thought it was yesterday and drove there and the nurse says "You're early" I say "I know Im a little early so finish eating your lunch I'll wait" she says "NO your really early your apt isnt until tomorrow!" We laughed I left and get a call from the Dr's office an hour later, reminding me of my apt that I have today!! Ha! Stupid pregnany brain!! 22 days to go... I can not believe it... and tonigt it my last night of class until September when I'll be student teaching... I cant believe how fast it hasall come.36 weeks36 weeks

Roller skating and my appointment

Well on Sat night we had a wedding to go to and it was the best wedding you would ever be at. The recepetion was held at an indoor recreation place that has a roller skating rink, batting cages, soccer/field hockey/lacrosse, volleyball, a HUGE play thing... and because of the location of the reception we brought Cadence so she could run around and try out roller skating. She did so well, I mean as well as an 18month old can do.... she had a blast it was so cute to see her skating for the first time and going up and down the slide, I think she could have went all night long, in which she was up and not cranky at all until 11pm!!
Sunday we had Thanksgiving at my dad's house which turned out very nice, and Im hoping it turns into some sort of tradition (im always looking for traditions to start with my family).

Monday I had my 33 week checkup and everything is looking good. Im still pregnant, lol, my weight is good per the Dr. which Im ok with because I realized that its not possible for me to gain as much as I did with Cadence at this point, so Im ok with it. Except Im going to have to work my ASS off once Im capable of doing so. She said Im back to measuring a little head, but didnt give me a number... prolly because she knows I get anxiety about that stuff, but its nothing to worry about, Im hoping its a week... I think i was always 2 weeks ahead with Cadence. I am feeling great at this point of my pregnancy and am so excited that in give or take 7 weeks we will be welcoming a new Serrano to the family.
We have nothing prepared for this baby as far as sleeping arrangments or clothes or car seats or anything actually.... I do feel bad, but do not know where to start... We need to organize our house better so we will be able to accomadate for the new addition.
Thanksgiving is in 2 days and we are having dinner at my in-laws and Christmas is in 5 weeks. I will be 34 weeks this Friday making the countdown seem so much closer than it already is... I go back in 2 weeks for another checkup.

32 weeks & Chuck E Cheese

Well being 32 weeks people have been more known to notice 'how big I am' and feel free to express it! No biggie because I know Im big, but I feel great! I am starting to notice that if I sit for too long a period my hips hurt and I walk like an 80 year old woman... But other than that things are looking my next appointment is next week (I forget the exact date) I think after Thanksgiving... so I'll be nice and heavy for that scale!!
Im not sick anymore (knock on wood), no more coughing or runny nose, but Cadence still has a little of it left. She had her 18 month check up on Friday and she's right on track. Weighing in at 22lbs & 13.5oz and 33 1/4 inches tall, my little peanut is getting big! She got her flu shot but I still have to get mine.

We went to Chuck E Cheese on Friday too and I think the big kids had more fun then the little ones, but they still did have their shar of fun Im sure!!

31 weeks

Well I was 31 weeks on November 2.... and I wanted to wait to actually take my 31 belly shot until Saturday because I knew I was going out and would be more dolled up!! So anyway, I feel wonderful, except for the congestion and coughing, but that's non pregnancy related so I have no complaints. I will probably mention from here on out that we are now in crunch time because I just can not believe that it is actually nearing in as quickly as it is. With only 9 weeks (give or take of course) left and only about 6 weeks left of my school semester, Thanksgiving in 3 weeks and Christmas in 8 weeks I have so much ahead of me that it will go by so much quicker than usual.
Cadence is recognizing that I have a baby in my belly because when I ask her where the baby is, she rubs my belly and gives it kisses. So of course it makes me melt every time she does it, and I cant get enough of it so I have her say 'baby' and give my belly kisses all the time!! I really wanna get a picture of her doing it so when they get older I can show them they actually did love each other!! ha ha... Cadence plays with her teddy and takes care of her so nicely that I'm sure she'll be a great big sister!!
I had an u/s last week to check on my cyst and its still there, its measuring 7x5 cm but its up far enough to not have to worry about for the remainder of the pregnancy. The u/s tech said the head is measuring 2 weeks ahead and either his/her arm/leg is measuring a week ahead, but its nothing to get freaked out about (except that my kid may have a huge head!!LOL) but other than that.... he/she was not cooperating, laying upside down seeing only the spine, so I did not get any pictures to take with me...
Well I had my 31 week appointment this morning and everything went well. I am measuring 31 weeks exactly, but when I went in 2 weeks ago a different Dr. measured me at a week ahead, so it all depends on which Dr measure you I guess... Heartbeat was excellent and everything else is going as smooth as possible!! I gained 1.5 lbs in 2 weeks so Im up 26.5lbs which is better than I was with Cadence...

Happy Halloween

My Lil' Care bear

Well we took Cadence trick-or-treating along with her three cousins Peyton, Jocelyn & Brihanna and her 3 aunts, Des, Kayla, and Cindy, of course Camilo and I were there as well. We went to my dad's neighborhood and she made out like a bandit. She was reaching into the candy bowl and putting her candy into her trick-or-treat bag, it was very cute this year. I was getting crampy walking as much as we did, but I didnt wanna miss out on a thing.

29 weeks oh mi oh my

Well I had a bad experience involving my cyst that left me to tears and barely able to walk... but all in all the pain has not come back like it was a few weekends ago, thank goodness. I had my dr. apt on Friday the 19th and she said I did not go into pre-term labor and that I will probably experience similar pain in the future due to the 7cm cyst on my ovary. She is sending me for an ultrasound to make sure the cyst is the same size... that should ease my mind more, plus I get to see our son/daughter again!! I just can not believe its going as fast as it is, before we know it we will have anothe bundle of joy around the house!!

26 weeks

21 weeks

25 weeks & 2 days
26 weeks
26 weeks

Well I haven't posted in a while but nothing much has changed with the baby and I. (plus I was actually waiting until I had access to my pictures on my camera before I typed too much then had to come back to upload the pictures.
We took my dad on the Spirit of Philadelphia for his birthday as a surprise, he enjoyed it very much since all of his girls were there at the same time. Cadence on the other hand got lightly scared as we were pulling away from the pier. She quickly got over it and was dancing and having a great time.

I will be 26 weeks tomorrow and just got back from my Dr. apt. I gained 6.5 lbs I need to watch what I eat I guess a little better, I really do not want to be a house... I am measuring right on target though which is nice to hear... I go back in 3 weeks which then I'll be 29 weeks and then I start going every 2 weeks!! I cant believe its getting to that point already. Every time i think its getting close I convince myself that I actually have more time than I think... but it all coming together pretty quickly I guess. The baby is moving quite a bit and is even getting the hiccups often. Camilo was actually able to feel him/her move which made it all so much more surreal.

22 weeks 6 days

The baby is moving quite often lately, I can feel him/her swimming away making themselves quite comfortable. My dad and his fiance moved out this past weekend so now our house is quite empty. We have to figure out what to do with all of the extra space, but the exciting part is that we can now begin to think of ideas on what we are going to do with my dad's old room. I would like to paint it a neutral, pastel color but nothing sex discriminating. We really havent decided on whether we are going to make it another full nursery or it will be the toy room, or what, but we still have some time to actually decide what our options are.

My last dr's apt was quite uneventful, except for Cadence wanting to run around and play with the PAP speciman cups, the heartbeat sounded great, very strong. My next dr's appointment is at the end of this month in which I should be scheduling another u/s to check on my cyst

Our Vacation

Let me begin by saying that Friday 08/03/07 at 4pm was the best b/c I knew that I was off from work for a whole week!! We began our vacation with an u/s for me at 10am on Monday (Camilo still had to work over the weekend). We saw the baby yawn with that cute lil' mouth and saw their bones and spine and it was of course amazing. Well the u/s tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex.... I said "no" Camilo said "yes"... the baby kept their legs closed so the anatomy wasnt clear, he sent me to empty my bladder to get him/her moving and when I came out he started the u/s and slipped and told us what we were having. He felt bad and I secretly wanted to know too, but would have love to find out in Jan when he/she comes out but no he told us we are having a ___ (you'll have to e-mail me to find out, just in case my family gets a hold of this.... we are keeping it from them= )) We are both very excited about the news and cant wait to meet him/her (I hope I dont slip before then)
Then my sil, neice, younger sister Camilo, Cadence and I headed to Sesame Place. We got some lunch befre we checked into our hotel and then checked in at the Comfort Inn and got ready to go to the park. Cadence had a great time there and pretty much went on everything she possibly was tall enough for. We went on the lazy river, the Duck Ride (forget the real name) and every waiting pool they had.
We of course went back the following day and immediatly went to the lazy river. It was so hot that day that Cadence actually fainted in Camilo's arms. We poured water all over her and kept her hydrated and wet the rest of the day. It was a very scary experience. We watched the parade that day and Ernie bent over to say "hi" to Cadence and she was of course scared, but it was a funny scared.
Wednesday was supposed to be beach day but it was so hot that day we didnt want anothe lapse of what happened at Sesame. Thursday our pool FINALLY was put in and of course we couldnt use it that day b/c it took all night to fill. Friday we did some landscaping trying to level around the pool. Sat we got our concrete patio put in then we went to our friends shore house. Sunday we went to the beach and Cadence had a great time. As soon as we got there she sat down and started shoveling with her bucket and shovel.... It was so very cute. She loved the ocean water, wasnt afraid of anything. We had such a perfect day too, water temp was like 78 and the outside temp felt about in the 80's but no humidity it felt like.
Monday I took off b/c Camilo actually had off so we got some patio blocks for a second patio we are building, I made dinner and we swam for a little bit.
I am back to work and of course I enjoyed not having the responsibility for a week but the wallet definately felt the brunt of our family fun!!
I will develop my pictures from the trip and post them as soon as possible, I bought a water camera for the park so I didnt have to worry about getting my digital wet, but now I have to develop the old fashion way!!
Well thats all for now... = )

17 Weeks tomorrow

Well I will be 17 weeks already tomorrow, I can not believe that I am almost half way there in meeting our new love of our lives. I feel pretty good thus far, still slightly tired but that could also be because I am still in a night class 3x a week (which thankfully tonight is the last class woooohooooo).
We are planning on taking a vacation Aug 6 - 10 so I will have time to relax and spend some much needed time with my husband and daughter. We are hoping that are pool will be put in by then so we can just hang out, out back not worrying about spending too much money, but we have to wait and see (stupid township). We are just going to do day trips like the Philly Zoo, the beach, maybe Sesame Place, Please Touch Museum, and who knows what else....
My next Dr's apt. is next Tuesday at 330 so hopefully we schedule an ultrasound b/c I'm dying to see our baby. Camilo wants to find out what we are having but not tell anyone, and I think I'm still on the wait and see side. I don't know if I would be able to hold down the excitement of it all... or I would slip and tell....
Well Until then!! = )

14 weeks

Lets see if this works the way I want it too.... I am 14 weeks and 4 days and I feel good. I have had 2 u/s already the first was to determine how far along I was so there wasn't much to see except for a lil' peanut, and the second one I had was more fulfilling because the baby looked like a baby.... he/she was sucking their thumb as soon as the thing was put on my tummy, and the other one he/she was just chilling looking very cute and comfy. We are very excited to welcome our new bundle to the family and can not wait for Jan. to get here!!

The Beginning

Wow this should be fun!! I am looking forward to keeping a diary if you will of my adventures with Camilo and with our growing family! Hope you will enjoy the pictures and the stories!!
